A Little Luck From Fortunista

I am so excited to announce that I am the newest brand ambassador for the most beautiful jewelry company in Calgary. Fortunista- This small business has been around for a short period of time and is breaking through by showcasing the amazing cause it stands behind. The company works closely with children from the G.R.I.T.T organization. This non-profit organization works with children with disabilities - This is something that is very near and dear to my heart.
Waaay back in the day, when I first graduate high school and went into university, I took my studies in the direction of working with children; children with behavioral, mental, and conduct disorders. It was the most challenging and rewarding work I have ever done, it's something that I miss everyday. For several years, I worked in group care, in home support and privately. Working closely with families, their children, and other practitioners. Growing myself as a person, and being that main point of contact for youth who are struggling or in need.

After sometime, I had to step away from that type of work, I wanted to pursue something different, something that would fulfill me in other ways, which brought me to create my blog. Teaming up with Fortunista is my way of working with those kids again. It's my small way of being able to support an organization, that I know first had, does not receive the recognition it deserves.
The Fortunista necklaces come in gold and silver, with long bars and a fortune cookie charm. The bars are what are stamped by the children and each one is hand made with love. The packaging is my favorite part, with it's own little pouch, cleaning cloth, all in a mini take out box. Another unique detail about the necklaces, is that they are adjustable!! Which makes it a great piece to layer or to just wear on its own.
If you haven't yet checked out Fortunista's website, please do. You can read more about them and where their proceeds go. You can also follow them on Instagram and be up to0 date for any pop-up shops and events that they will be at. I am beyond in love with this company for what they do and what they stand for.
